ORB Prompt

Let curiosity take a new direction.

Turn a subject into an ORB. Explore its connections, follow a question deeper, or shape a story that carries you down the spiral.

Read it first ↓

Paste into your AI chat, then type /orb your topic.

01 / Begin anywhere

Start with a question.

  1. Copy & paste

Use the prompt in a new or existing AI conversation. It supplies instructions; it does not install software.

  2. Choose a subject

Try /orb ocean tides, /orb bread making, or a question you want to understand.

  3. Follow a direction

Go up for context, down for depth, sideways for related facets, or along a thread of causes and consequences.

Create and share a .txt ORB

  1. Explore a topic. Copy the ORB prompt into your AI chat, then type /orb your topic. Follow questions and check sources.
  2. Create the file. In ORB Share, copy the authoring brief into that same chat. Ask for your exploration as an ORB File 1 named your-topic.orb.txt. No HTML or plugin installation is needed.
  3. Preview and save. Open the AI’s file in ORB Share. If it gives you text instead, copy the JSON inside its code block, choose Paste text → Check & open, then Save ORB file. If there are errors, copy them back to your AI and ask it to fix the file.
  4. Submit for review. Choose Prepare submission, check your title and public creator credit, then continue to GitHub. Sign in or create a GitHub account, attach the saved .orb.txt to the issue description, and submit. Keep the issue link as your receipt. Previewing does not upload the file or publish it.

Two different text files: the prompt below teaches your AI the method. Your finished .orb.txt contains the exploration. Open the finished file in ORB Share.

02 / Shape the story

Choose your spiral.

Explore first. When you want a continuous story, ask your chat for a Spiral Course script.

01 — LEARN

ORB Learn

Spiral Audio Course

Follow a curious guide from the top of the spiral to the bottom. Hear how the ideas connect through stories, examples, and discoveries.

Try: “Write an ORB Learn course from this route.”

02 — FEEL

ORB Feel & Experience

Guided Audio Journey

Settle into a calming story. Imagine, listen, and let your attention wander through the subject. No need to study, remember, or watch a screen.

Try: “Write a Feel & Experience journey for relaxation.”

These are writing styles. Recorded audio and a synchronized spiral player need additional tools. Explore published ORBs ↗

03 / Take it with you

The portable ORB prompt

Copy the text below into an AI chat such as ChatGPT or Claude. Results depend on the model and tools available in that chat.

Know what you’re starting

A guide for your chat.

The prompt asks your chat to use a six-direction compass, keep track of the route within its available context, distinguish evidence from uncertainty, and write either Spiral Course style when requested.

It does not add permanent memory, web access, voice generation, or a live 3D interface. Use save for a portable checkpoint. Research, images, audio, HTML, and publishing depend on tools and access you actually have.
